On March 18, the first meeting of the Joint Management Committee of Chongqing Tchaikovsky Conservatory of Music of Chongqing Normal University was held at Chongqing Normal University. Zhang Yan, Secretary of the Party Committee of Chongqing Normal University, Wang Guoyin, Vice President Huang Yongyi, President, Alexander Sokolov, President of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory of Music, Margaret Karatina, Vice President, and relevant representatives of the two schools attended the meeting.

Zhang Yan delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the school, welcomed all Russian colleagues, and congratulated the convening of the Chongqing Chaiyuan Joint Management Committee! She pointed out that the first meeting of the Joint Management Council marked a new stage in the substantive operation of the construction of Chongqing Chaiyuan. She said that Chongqing Normal University will strictly implement the cooperation agreement between the two schools, fully support Chongqing Chaiyuan to run schools in accordance with the charter, cooperate sincerely with Moscow Chaiyuan, strive to create landmark results of Sino-Russian cooperation in the field of education, and contribute to the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Russia in the new era.

Wang Guoyin, director of the Joint Management Council, and Alexander Sokolov, deputy director, said respectively that the construction of Chongqing Chaiyuan is an important practice to implement the diplomacy of the heads of state of China and Russia, which condenses the eager expectations of both sides to cultivate high-level musical talents and carries the beautiful vision of everyone to build dreams together. I hope to take this conference as a new starting point, anchor the high-level, internationalization and distinctive school positioning of Chongqing Chaiyuan, continue to deepen cooperation in talent training, artistic creation, academic research, cultural exchange and other fields, and strive to create a model of Sino-Russian educational cooperation.

The meeting deliberated and adopted important issues such as the formation plan of the college's joint management council,the management team formation plan, the teacher team formation plan, the 2026 enrollment plan and the 2026 cultural exchange plan. It clarified the key matters of school management, established a standardized decision-making mechanism, and laid a solid foundation for the college to run the school from a high starting point.
