On March 21, the Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges organized a study tour entitled "Chongqing: City of Mountains and Rivers, City of Glowing Lights" for 44 new international students from 13 countries.
Stepping out of the classroom and campus, the teachers and students visited the Giant Panda Enclosure at Chongqing Zoo, the Chongqing Science and Technology Museum, the Chongqing Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, and Longmenhao Old Street. As night fell, they enjoyed the splendid night view of the two rivers and a drone light show, experiencing the unique charm of the mountain city. Through the tour, the students gained a direct insight into China’s ecological conservation achievements, scientific and technological innovation, urban development, and historical and cultural heritage.
Owen, a new student from the United Kingdom, expressed his deep fascination with Chongqing’s vitality and inclusiveness. This immersive study tour allowed international students to experience the city’s dynamism at close range, laying a solid foundation for them to integrate into campus life and gain a genuine understanding of today’s China.
