Recently, an outstanding international alumnus of Chongqing Normal University, Ong Peter Leonardo, inaugurated as the rector of Widya Kartika University. After graduation from CNU, Ong Peter Leonardo has been devoted to the education course, having contributed to the international cooperation of CNU in the“2+2” international Chinese education program for promotion of Chinese language education and sharing of Chinese culture.

At the inauguration ceremony, Party Secretary Zhang Yan, on behalf of the University, congratulated him via video, and expressed expectations for cooperation between the two universities in talent development, academic research and cultural exchange. In response, Ong Peter Leonardo expressed gratitude to the alma mater, and the hope to deepen cooperation in promoting Chinese language education and cultural exchange and appreciation between China and Indonesia.
