On the afternoon of December 11, Party Secretary Zhang Yan of Chongqing Normal University chaired the preparatory work promotion meeting for Chongqing Tchaikovsky Conservatory, at which the latest advancement of the preparation was reported and work to be done in the following stage was discussed and deployed. The meeting had the presence of Huang Yongyi, Vice President of CNU and a member on the standing committee of the University Party Committee, as well as major principals and relevant individuals from the Party and Political Affairs Office, the Regulation Office, the Personnel Office, the Graduate School, the Teaching Affairs Office, the Finance Office, the Logistics and Resources Office, and the School of Music.

At the meeting, Huang Yongyi introduced her group’s work report to the Ministry of Education and visits to other domestic universities for investigation, pointing out that the preparation for building of Chongqing Tchaikovsky Conservatory should be ever refined. The head of the Office for International Cooperation and Exchanges reported the progress in the application for establishing the Sino-foreign joint education institution– Chongqing Tchaikovsky Conservatory. Participants from other departments exchanged views on China-Russian cultural exchanges, construction of the Chongqing Tchaikovsky Conservatory, and registration of second-class public institutions under the University.

Zhang Yan fully recognized recent efforts of involved units, and stressed priorities of work to be done in near future.
