On November 8, a group led by Vice President Chin-Peng Chu of the National Dong Hwa University visited Chongqing Normal University. Deputy Secretary and President Wang Guoyin, together with leaders from the Office for Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan Affairs and the School of Educational Sciences, met with the group.

President Wang Guoyin first welcomed the group, introduced the history, development pattern, schooling features and disciplinary strengths of the University, and reviewed the student exchange program and academic exchanges between the two universities; then he fully affirmed the positive effect of cooperation and exchanges between the two sides on promotingdisciplinary building for special education and talent development, and put forward expectations forfurther cooperation in brain science, artificial intelligence and other fields.

Chin-Peng Chu expressed gratitude for the warm reception by Chongqing Normal University, and shared Wang Guoyin’s view on deeper cooperation and exchanges between the two universities. He further introduced the strengths of the National Dong Hwa University in special education, bioscience, computer science, management science and other fields, in hope that the two sides might extend their cooperation to achieve more in mutual visits, joint cultivation, joint research and other fields.

Following the meeting, the group moved to visit the History Gallery,Museum, and the Special Education Children’s Center of the University.
