At 15:00 on October 18 startedthe celebration of the 70^th anniversary of Chongqing Normal University by international students as organized by the Office for International Cooperation and Exchanges. The celebration, which was intended to enrich the communication and promote understanding between Chinese and foreign students and to enrich the life of international students in CNU, also had the presence of Vice PresidentNilanthi Renuka De Silva of the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka, Chief Cha Zhi and DeputyChief Zuo Jinlong of the Office for International Cooperation and Exchanges, other teachers, and international students from 16 countries, including Rwanda, Sri Lanka and Russia. During the celebration, Deputy Chief Zuo Jinlong introduced the efforts and achievements of the University in cultivatinginternational students; a representative international student shared her wonderful experience in China and expressed her blessings to the University; a show of diversified folk customs in different countries from which the international students came from was put on for mutual cultural understanding and exchange; Chief Cha Zhi and the group led by Deputy PresidentNilanthi Renuka De Silva greeted the students and showed great care to them.
