On September 4, members of Shenyang Normal University’s Chineselanguage study class for government officials from Russian-speaking countries visited Chongqing Normal University. During the visit, a symposium was held for exchanges on international Chinese language education, with participation of 14 government officials from Mongolia and Uzbekistan, enterprise representatives, and higher education teachers, the head of theOffice for International Cooperation and Exchanges of Shenyang Normal University, and heads of the International Chinese Culture College and the Office for International Cooperation and Exchanges of our University.

The group first toured the campus of the University, during which Chief Cha Zhi of the Office for International Cooperation and Exchanges kept company and generally introduced the University’s efforts in international cooperation and exchanges. Subsequently, the two parties held an exchange meeting at the InternationalCollege of Chinese Language & Culture.

At the meeting, President Mou Yingxue of the International College of Chinese Language & Culture welcomed all the visitors, and introduced international exchanges of the College on the Chinese language, stating that the College played a significant part in high-level open schooling and Sino-foreign cultural exchanges of Chongqing following the guide of major national strategies. Deputy Chief Wang Rui of the Office for International Cooperation and Exchanges of Shenyang Normal University expressed gratitude for the warm reception, and highly praised the achievements made by Chongqing Normal University in international Chinese language education and Sino-foreign cultural exchanges. When it came to free exchange, Prof. Gurjahong from theOriental University of Uzbekistanshowed ardently love to the Chinese history and traditional Chinese culture, in earnest hope to establish a cooperation and exchange mechanism for mutual visits and a platform for Chinese language learning and cooperation inmultiple disciplines.
