On March 13,a group led by Director Yu Changxue fromChina Center for International People-to-People Exchange visited Chongqing Normal University (“CNU”) for research on CNU’s efforts in opening up of education and international exchange. Deputy Party Secretary and President Wang Guoyin, together with principals of the Graduate School, the Students’ Affairs Office, the Teaching Affairs Office, the International Office, theInternational College of Chinese Language andCulture, theVocational Faculty of Education,the School of Teachers’ Education, the School of Foreign Languages and Literature, and theCollege of Music, met with the group.

President Wang Guoyin welcomed the group and extended gratitude for long-time support and guidance from China Center for International People-to-People Exchange. He further introduced CNU’s commitment to and goals of future development, and expressed the hope for continuing support from the Center.

Yu Changxue highly recognizedachievements made by CNU in opening up of education and international cultural exchange, and said that based on findings of the research,China Center for International People-to-People Exchange would give a full play to its role in facilitating international talent development and high-quality overseas resource introduction. He also proposedsome suggestions with respect to talent development, research cooperation and education governance to guide further opening up of education in Chongqing Normal University.
