Ⅰ. Length of the Programs:

1.Chinese Language Program: one semester to two semesters.

2. Bachelor’s Program: 4 years.

3. Master’s Program: 3 years.

4. Doctoral Program: 4 years

ⅡAdmission Requirements:

1. Applicants forChinese LanguageProgram

Age: Between 18 and 50, in sound health,be friendly to China.

2. Applicants for Bachelor’sPrograms

● Be a non-Chinese citizen.

● Be physically and mentally healthy, and aged between 18 and 25 years old，be friendly to China.

● Holda high school graduation certificate recognized by the Chinese government.

● Meet the Chinese language requirement: HSK Level 4 with a score of 180 or above.

● Hold a score certificate of the China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA Exam).(The specific CSCA exam subjects are detailed in the Category of Bachelor’s Programs for International Students).

3.Applicants for Master’sprograms

● Be a non-Chinese citizen.

● Be physically and mentally healthy, and aged between 18 and35 years old，be friendly to China.

● Holdabachelordegreecertificate recognized by the Chinese government.

● Meet the Chinese language requirement: HSK Level5with a score of 180 or above.

4.Applicants for Doctor Programs

● Be a non-Chinese citizen.

● Be physically and mentally healthy, andtheageis under 40years old，be friendly to China.

● HoldaMasterdegreecertificate recognized by the Chinese government.

● Meet the language requirement.Applicants for Chinese-taught programs need to provide valid score report of HSK level 5 (180 scores or above) . Applicants for English-taught programs need to provide:score report of English language proficiency test (a score above IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL Internet-based 80 or equivalent), or a certificate from former university that the previous degree is taught in English.Applicants from countries where English is the official language are exempt from proof of English language proficiency.

Notes:

1. Applicants should submit the applications at least two months before the new semester starts.

2. The requirements forprogramstudents shall be implemented in accordance with the relevantprogramagreement stipulations

1.Application Period:

Bachelor's /Master's /Doctoral Programs:January1,2026-June 30,2026.

Language programs:

March 1, 2026-June 30, 2026 for Autumn Semester; September 1, 2026-December 31, 2026 for Spring Semester.

2.Online Application

Log in to the“Chongqing Normal University International Student Online Service System”(website:http://foreignstudent.cqnu.edu.cn) and submit therequired materials.

3.Application Materials

(1)Chongqing Normal University ApplicationForm.

(2) Copy of passport (if applicants have a history of coming to China, please submit the Chinese visa page).

(3) Thecertificate of the China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA Exam).Only Bachelor Program applicants are required to provide it, and other applicants are not required.The specific CSCA exam subjects are detailed in thein the Category of Bachelor’s Programs for International Students. For detailed introduction and registration methods of CSCA, please visit the official website (www.csca.cn).

(4)Highest diploma attained or proof of study (notarized photocopy).Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with translations in Chinese orinEnglish.

(5)Transcripts (notarized photocopyin Chinese or in English).

(6)Study plan (written in Chinese or English,no less than 1000 words/characters).

(7)Language proficiency certificate.

Language program:HSK and HSKK Certificate

Bachelor’s Programs: a certificate of HSK5 180 scores or above.

Master’s Programs:a certificate of HSK5 180 scores or above.

Doctoral Programs: For Chinese-taught programs, a HSK5 certificate with a score of 180 or above is required. For English-taught programs (Doctoral Programs of Mathematics and Biology), an IELTS certificate with a score of 6.0, a TOEFL certificate with a score of 80, or a certificate from the previous university indicating that the previous degree was instructed in English is necessary. For applicants from countries where English is the official language are exempt from proof of English language proficiency.

(8)Two letters of recommendation. Applicants for Master’s /Doctoral programs shall provide two letters of recommendation by associate professors or professors.

(9)Foreigner Physical Examination Form,together with the original copy.The medical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid. The medical examination results are valid only6months.

(10)Non-CriminalRecord,issued by the local public security (such as the police station), It is usually issued within6months prior to the submission date of the application.

(11)Bank deposit certificate (no less than 25,000 RMBin principle).

(12)Resume.

(13)Scholarship application table if applicants apply for scholarships.

(14) Personal works.Applicants for theArts orDesign program shall providehis/herown works (such as videos andcopies ofpaintings)

4.Admission Assessment

The university will conduct a comprehensive review and assessment of applicants, and organize relevant interviews (written exams) for selective admission. Please attend on time after receiving the assessment notice. Specific arrangements will be notified by email. Please ensure the accuracy of your email address.

5.Admission

Qualified applicants will receive electronic copies of the Admission Notice and the Visa Application Form for Foreign Students Studying in China(JW 201/JW202/DQ Form).

Admitted Students can download the admission notice through the "Chongqing Normal University International Student Online Service System" (website:http://foreignstudent.cqnu.edu.cn), and download the Visa Application Form forForeign Students Studying in China(JW 201/JW202/DQ Form) through“Study in China" website (https://www.studyinchina.edu.cn/visaAssistant/howGet).

6.Visa Application

Students should apply for an X1/X2 visa at the Chinese embassy (consulate) in their home country with the above admission notice and visa application form.

7.Registration

Admitted students should register at the university in accordance with the time specified in the admission notice. The original graduation certificate will be verified upon registration. Those who fail to obtain the corresponding certificate will have their admission qualification revoked. Admitted students should register at the university with the admission notice, passport, JW201/JW202/DQ Form, original physical examination record, and 6 two-inch bareheaded photos on the specified date, and pay the tuition and accommodation fees.

Ⅴ Tuition and other fees

1.Tuition (Chinese currency):

(1) Chinese LanguageProgram: 7,000RMB per semester, 14,000RMBper academic year.

(2)Bachelor’sPrograms:

14,000 RMB per academic year for liberal arts/educationprograms.

16,000 RMB per academic year for science, engineering, economic, managementand agricultureprograms.

21,000 RMB per academic year for arts and physical education programs.

(3) Master’sPrograms:

18,000RMB per academic year for liberal arts programs.

20,000RMB per academic year for science, engineering, economic, management programs.

27,000RMB per academic year for arts programs.

(4) DoctoralPrograms

28,000RMB per academic year for liberal arts programs.

30,000RMB per academic year for science, engineering programs.

2. Accommodation Fee :

Allstudentsshouldwill be arranged tolive in the international students apartment.

Double room:withtwo beds,a bathroom,a refrigerator, an air conditioner,internet,etc.5400RMB per academic year per person.

The electric fee and water fee will be paid in actual usage.

3.Application Fee

Applicants should pay 400 RMB for the registration fee. The registration fee will not be refunded, regardless of whether applicants are admitted or not.

4.Visa Fee

400RMB for X1 visa (180 days to one year), and 168RMB for X2 visa(less than 180 days). In order to submit all the documents for visa, applicants also needhealthcheck in designated Hospital and visa photo in Chongqing, which may cost 400RMB and 30RMB, respectively.

5.Comprehensive MedicalInsurance Fee

800RMB for a year. Allinternational studentsshouldbuycomprehensivemedicalinsurance. The reimbursement is subject to Chinese Insurance laws and regulation.

Ⅵ.Scholarship

Chongqing Normal University isone of the hostinstitutesof Chinese Government Scholarship, International Chinese Teacher Scholarship, and Chongqing Municipal Mayor Scholarship for overseas students.Chongqing Normal Universityhas also set upChongqing Normal UniversityPresident Scholarship for those excellent overseas students studying at the University.Applicants could only apply one of those scholarships.Welcome to apply for scholarships.
