On November 17, Zhang Yan, Secretary of the University Party Committee, met with Mr. Uke Kembra, Secretary-General of the Department of Education of Papua New Guinea, and his delegation. Mr. Kaul Gina, Acting Vice-Chancellor of the Papua New Guinea University of Technology, and Ms. Veronica Thomas, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, accompanied the visit. Huang Yongyi, Member of the Standing Committee of the University Party Committee and Vice-President, attended the meeting.

Zhang Yan extended a warm welcome to the delegation and briefed them on the university’s development history, educational characteristics, and achievements in international exchanges.

Uke Kembra thanked the university for the warm reception, spoke highly of its achievements in discipline construction, talent training, and scientific and technological innovation, and outlined the main objectives of the visit.

Heads of relevant university departments and schools, including the Party and Government Office, International Office, Academic Affairs Office, International College, College of Vocational Teacher Education, School of Mathematical Sciences, School of Life Sciences, and College of Primary Education, attended the meeting and held in-depth discussions on cooperation.
