The Vocational Education Teachers College of Chongqing Normal University, established in 2007 and fully developed from the Vocational Education Teacher Training Center of CNU - the first national VET Teachers Training Center in Chongqing, is co-located with the Vocational Education Research Institute of CNU, the Chongqing Vocational Education Teachers Training Group, the Sino-German (Chongqing) Demonstrative Vocational Education Cooperation Base, the Sino-German Vocational Education Research Institute, Chongqing Collaborative Innovation Center of Vocational Education Assessment and Teachers Training, andHuizhirunyu Education Mass Innovation Space.

The College is mainly engaged in national-level, municipal-level and social training of vocational education teachers, cultivation of full-time master candidates in vocational and technical education and in education (vocational education) postgraduate training, and scientific research and international cooperation regarding vocational and technical education. To date, it has trained 15,000 teachers from vocational colleges at all levels, and cultivated 1,460 full-time and part-time postgraduates. Besides, it has completed 12 national research projects and 36 provincial and ministerial-level research projects, published more than 200 academic papers and 22 books, and has 30 policy advisory reports adopted by the Ministry of Education or other authorities of Chongqing. The College also has long-term exchange and cooperation on vocational education with institutions in such developed countries as Germany, Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

In the following ten years, the College aims to develop into a vocational education center that has great influence in China, leads development of vocational education in the western region and integrates vocational education teachers training, education and teaching, scientific research, decision-making consultation and management services.
