Chongqing Normal University has founded the “Silk RoadScholarship”, in response to “The Belt and Road Initiative” Strategy enouncedby Chinese president Xi Jinping. It also aims to expand the overseas studentsenrollment, to motivate international students of Chongqing Normal Universityto obey laws and regulations of China, and to encourage them to studyassiduously. Applicants of graduates or postgraduates, or language studentscould apply this scholarship. The “Silk Road Scholarship” is classified intothe first class and second class.

Details about Scholarship

1.First class: free tuition for one year.

Applicants could be Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Thailand, Russia,Philippines, Hungary and other countries from “The Belt and Road”.

2.Second class: free of 50% tuition for oneyear.

Applicants could be Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Thailand, Russia,Philippines, Hungary and other countries from “The Belt and Road”.

Note: The tuition is in accordance with the enrollmenttuition standard which made for overseas students, not including accommodation,living expenses and textbook fees and other expenses.

 

Eligibility & Requirements

1.Be non-Chinese citizens and good in physical health;

2.Apply for full-time study in Chongqing NormalUniversity at least for one year;

3.Be friendly, commit to observe Chinese law andregulations;

4.Applicants for a master's degree should have abachelor's degree, excellent academic performance, and be under the age of 35 ;

5.Applicants for a bachelor's degree should have theequivalent of Chinese high school diploma, and be under the age of 25 ;

6.Applicants, who are studying in Chongqing NormalUniversity, should have a good class-attendance performance ,say above 90%,should take an active part in the collective activities of the school, andwithout any record of violation of school rules and regulations ;

7.Applicants who has obtained the Chinese governmentscholarship, should not apply for the “Silk Road Scholarship”.

Applicants should log on to theChongqing Normal University International Affairs website and upload therelevant documents.

2.Highest diploma attained orproof of study (notarized photocopy). Applicants who are students currentlystudying at Chongqing Normal University shall also provide a Study Certificateand transcripts from Chongqing Normal University. Documents in languages otherthan Chinese or English must be attached with translations in Chinese orEnglish.

3.Transcripts of the mostadvanced studies (notarized photocopy).

4.Study plan (written inChinese or English).

5.Two letters ofrecommendation. Applicants for master degree studies shall provide two lettersof recommendation by associate professors or professors. Applicants who arestudents currently studying at Chongqing Normal University shall provide arecommendation letter from the International Administration Office or a teacherin Chongqing Normal University.

6.Learning to apply for professional music studentsare required to submit a CD of my works; apply for study the art professionalstudents, are required to provide my works CD (2) painted, two color paintings,two other works);

7.Copy of Foreigner PhysicalExamination Form (Attachment 3).

8.Copy of passport.

9.Proof of no criminal record.

10.Bank deposit certificate (local currency no less than 25,000 RMB )

11.HSK4 Copy for undergraduatestudents and HSK5 Copy for graduate students
